Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca oil, comes from the leaves of the tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), which is native to Australia. Aboriginal people have used this oil for centuries for its medicinal properties. Today, tea tree oil is known for its versatility and is often used in skin care products, hair care and even as a household cleaner due to its antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.

Acne control: One of the most well-known uses of tea tree oil is the treatment of acne. The antibacterial properties help fight the bacteria that cause acne. Apply a drop of tea tree oil to pimples to soothe and reduce them.
